A step-by-step guide to getting a SASSA Virtual Card:
• Open your preferred web browser on your computer and go to srd.sassa.gov.za (The link is in the description).
• Once the web address opens up, navigate to the “South African ID Holders” or “Special Permit Holders” section.
• Click the “Proceed” button, then enter your full ID number and contact details on the new page.
• After submitting your details, you will receive a unique link from SASSA linked to your phone and ID number.
• Click on the provided link, after which “Payments” will be selected followed by the “Post Bank Virtual Card” option.
• Input all the required banking details, and then push the “Submit” button. After a successful verification, a notification will be sent indicating that you have created your Virtual Card, along with the payment dates.

SASSA Virtual Card is applicable for online purchase, shopping at general and drug stores, and also can be used at cash withdrawal machines.
