SASSA Grant Payment Increases October 2024
In his budget speech earlier this year, Finance Minister Enoch Godongwana announced that October will mark the second and final increase in Sassa grant payments for the year, taking effect on 1 October. While not all Sassa beneficiaries will receive an increase this year, the EV Portal explains which groups can expect increases next week.
Old Age, War Veterans, Disability, and Care Dependence grants rose by R90 in April and will increase by a further R10 next month. The Foster Care and Child Support grants went up by R50 and R20 respectively in April, but will not increase in October.
