UNISA Application Open Date for second semister 2025 – How to Apply Unisa online Semester 2 applications for the 2025 academic year will be open for limited undergraduate qualifications from 15 April to 10 May 2025.
UNISA Application Requirements -Documents Required for Applying UNISA
- Copy of your marriage certificate or divorce decree (if requested)
- Copy of your school qualifications i.e. Senior Certificate, National Senior Certificate
- Sworn translations of documents if they are not in English or Afrikaans
- Copy of your official tertiary academic records if applicable
- A copy of your ID document (South African students) and passport ID (international students)
UNIVERSITY OF SOUTH AFRICA (UNISA) APPLICATION FORM FEES 2022
You are required to pay the UNISA online application fee of R115 and R185 for the hard copy application form for 2022 as soon as you receive your student number from UNISA.
PLEASE NOTE: All applicants should know that this application fee is not refundable if he/she decides not to study with the University of South Africa (UNISA), do not meet the admission requirements or were not able to be offered a space because of unavailable space. UNISA Registration Status 2022
The application fee must be paid by the closing date of the application period. Any application that is not accompanied by timely payment of the application fee will be rejected.

Everyone wanting to start a new qualification must apply for admission. This includes
- first-time Unisa applicants.
- Unisa students changing to a new qualification and/or specialisation.
- applicants who previously applied for admission and were not offered a space or who were offered a space, accepted the offer and did not register.
- students completing a higher certificate or any other programme and who wish to continue with further undergraduate studies.
