Why Your R350 Grant Status Is ‘Gov Payroll Registered’ One of the Question i have found on my Comment section is ‘Why Your R350 Grant Status Is ‘Gov Payroll Registered’ this article have all information just enjoy reading.

One of the reasons given for a R350 grant application being declined is ‘gov payroll registered’ but what does it mean? Let’s get into it.

‘Gov payroll registered’ means that when SASSA ran your details through Home Affairs and SARS databases, they found that you are employed at a government institution.

Seeing that one of the main SRD requirements is that you should not be employed or be receiving an income, this would make you ineligible to receive the grant.

SASSA has had instances where government employees were receiving grants which is then them committing fraud. SASSA has said it has pursued an active fraud prevention strategy and has always exercised a zero tolerance to anyone who commits or is complicit in fraud in the social grant environment.

SASSA is now able to access databases from other government departments to validate the income of applicants for the grant.

Should you have been given the reason ‘gov payroll registered’ as your reason why you’ve been rejected and you find that it’s false or that you were rejected unfairly and deserve the grant, you are then urged to submit an appeal.

The appeal has to be lodged on the website within 30 days of when your rejection status became available to you.

This appeal will mean that SASSA has to reconsider your application and you will have to give them good reason as to why you believe you should receive the grant.

How To Appeal For SRD Grant

  1. Go to Sassa Appeals Website
  2. Enter ID number
  3. Enter telephone number
  4. Lodge appeal
