We are a social transformation organization which provides opportunities to promising individuals, and then supports them as they overcome their unique challenges and build prosperous futures for themselves.
The Moshal Program is about more than providing funding to study or helping financially disadvantaged young people gain access to higher education: it focuses on those who would not have access to such opportunities, but Moshal scholars are selected for their potential, which shines through.

Who is ELIGIBLE TO APPLY
Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying:
- You must be in Matric or have completed Matric
- You must be studying or intend on studying towards a Degree within one of the fields listed above, in 2025
- You must be studying or have been accepted to study at one of the following selected universities: Nelson Mandela University (NMU), Rhodes University (RU), Stellenbosch University (SUN), University of Cape Town (UCT), University of Free State (UFS), University of Johannesburg (UJ), University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN), University of Pretoria (UP), University of the Western Cape (UWC) and University of Witwatersrand (WITS)
- You must have achieved a minimum result of 70% for English, Mathematics, Physical Science and/or Accounting
- You must be in financial need, with a family income of NOT more than R200 000 per annum (before deductions)
