Rand Water Overview
Rand Water is the largest bulk water utility in Africa and is one of the largest in the world, providing bulk potable water to more than 11 million people in Gauteng, parts of Mpumalanga, the Free State and North West – an area that stretches over 18 000 km2.
Our Head Office is based in Glenvista, Johannesburg, South Africa. Two large pumping and purification stations at Vereeniging and Zuikerbosch; Four main booster stations at Zwartkopjes, Palmiet, Mapleton and Eikenhof.
We operate thirteen tertiary pumping stations and 60 strategically located service reservoirs and secondary booster stations; as well as multi-billion Rand regional pipeline network of approximately 3500km.

- B Comm Corporate Communication 2nd Year
- BSc Hons Microbiology: 2nd Year
- BSc- Chemistry:2nd Year
- BSc (Chem Eng/Chem/Biochem): 3rd Year
- BSc (Hons) Hydrology/Modeling: 4th Year
- BSc Degree Natural Science(Environmental Education): 3rd Year
- Diploma Electrical: 2nd Year
- B Eng Maintenance Engineering: 2nd Year
- B Eng Mechanical Engineering: 2nd Year
- Diploma Instruments and Process control: 2nd Year
- BCom Economics: 2nd and 3rd Year
Who are Eligible to Apply
- South African citizens.
- Previously disadvantaged individuals (ACI).
- Have Passed Matric or equivalent and currently studying within one of the aforementioned fields of study.
- Meet minimum average of 65% and academic performance in major subjects.
- Not in possession of other bursary/funding
- Applicant must be under the age of 35 years
- Applicants must be full-time students at registered and recognized tertiary educational institution.
